5 Tips for Naturally Beautiful Hair•
Posted on April 19 2019
Some people are born with natural beautiful hair, while others have to strive hard or even spend a lot just to maintain and achieve their desired look. However, there are ways to make your hair more manageable without having to spend too much. Here are a few hair care tips we would love to share with you.
Use the right kind of shampoo
There are all sorts of shampoos in the market today, one for each kind of hair. The most important thing is to find out what kind of hair you have. Is it coarse, brittle, dry, or oily? Then find the right type of shampoo to use for your hair. Remember, reading the label does a lot for you. Also, try out shampoos that contain natural ingredients to avoid further damaging the roots.
Learn how to shampoo correctly
Now that you have the right kind of shampoo, you have to learn how to apply it to your hair correctly. Since the summer season can bring a lot of heat and sweat, it is recommended to wash your hair regularly to avoid buildup of dirt. But remember, shampoo contains ingredients that can strip away the natural oils of your hair, so it is best to shampoo only your scalp. Don’t worry about the rest of your hair, once you rinse it, the rest of the shampoo will flow through those strands and take away any residue.
Condition, condition, condition
Again, for your conditioner, you need to use the right type depending on the kind of hair you have. Conditioning is one of the most important things to do when washing your hair. This allows your hair to gain and maintain more moisture making it more shiny and manageable. It is better to condition your hair every time you shampoo, but it is best to have at least one day in a week when you can deep condition your hair, to keep it healthy. You can use store bought conditioners, or make one at home using ingredients in your kitchen like coconut oil, jojoba oil, lavender oil, or peppermint oil mixed with avocado or eggs.
Avoid direct heat on your hair
If possible, avoid using hair dryers or hair straightening irons as the heat can cause damage to your hair. But if you must use them, avoid the hottest setting especially if you are planning to use both. Don’t ever skip on the heat protectant! This will minimize the heat that your hair absorbs, making it less prone to breakage.
Visit a hairstylist at least every other month
It is important to visit your trusted hairstylist every month or two for a trim, especially if you have long tresses. This avoids any damage or split ends from going further up your hair. Your hairstylist also knows what needs to be done to your hair if and when damage has already started. Remember, you have to go to someone you completely trust.
